Academics

At Caring Steps Children's Center we are proud to provide care for children from six weeks to 5 years.  As an extension of Rochester Community Schools we take delight in upholding the "Pride in Excellence" mantra for our children and their families.  Our goal is to provide the youngest members of our community, and the surrounding communities, an opportunity to begin their early school years in a warm, safe, comforting and stimulating environment.  

As early childhood educators, we understand that the early years, from birth to age five, are critical to a child's development.  At Caring Steps your child will be given opportunities to learn and grow in all areas.  We utilize a play-based curriculum, a combination of Reggio Emilia and HighScope which encourages active learning led by the children's own interests.  Our educators will support social and emotional growth, as well as spur on academic skills.  Our educators will monitor development, and work as a team with families to ensure every child is reaching their goals. Whether your child is one of our youngest infants, or a child nearly ready for Kindergarten, you can be assured that they are in the best of hands.
